So yesterday, before I heard about Donald J. Trump’s conversation with James Comey, which Comey documented, I started this blog. I’m so very glad I did.
In case anyone does not know what I am talking about, apparently after almost every phone conversation and after every face to face meeting Director Comey had with Trump, he wrote meticulous details about what he and Trump talked about. This is good, because evidently Trump tried to pressure Comey into dropping the investigation of Michael Flynn.
I have been angry with Comey because I believe he is at least 50% responsible for Hilary not being elected. But I’m not angry with his treatment of Trump. I would love for Comey to be the special prosecutor for the investigation of Trump and the Russia “thing.” I don’t know if that would even be legal since Comey would also be a witness to Trump’s misdeed(s).
Its infuriating how Trump just dances around our norms and customs and decides that since he’s president, none of the rules apply to him. He doesn’t want to release his taxes, he doesn’t. He doesn’t want to separate himself from his businesses by forming a real blind trust of all his financial holdings. He wants to declassify information and give it to our enemies the Russians. He does it. Putin wants Trump to do something, Trump does.
I saw a list today of much of the Russian entanglement in Trumps hotels and casinos. Its astonishing. Today I heard on the news that Trump said he had no Russian involvement in his businesses. Does this man know how to speak the truth? He opens his mouth and all that comes out are lies.
Evidently he never heard of “do unto others as you want them to do to you.”
